Our Committees
PD&E/Mentorship Committee
The core of NAWIC’s purpose is to develop members professionally and provide opportunities to support and enhance their careers in construction. Our Mentorship Program is opportunity for anyone participating to learn and grow, whether you are a mentee or a mentor.
DE&I Committee
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are words we know all too well as women in a traditionally male-dominated industry. As a committee, we recognize the need to create, support and sustain an inclusive culture and continuously strive to advance equity for women in our industry.
Women In Construction (WIC) Week Committee
WIC Week provides an occasion for the industry, and NAWIC especially, to raise awareness of the opportunities available for women in the construction industry and to emphasize the growing role of women in the industry. Each year the committee plans community service, panel discussions, and other events.
Emerging Professionals Committee
Our Emerging Professionals group is focused on encouraging professional growth through networking and educational opportunities while bringing together young women in construction trades and students interested in the construction field. We want to provide young NAWIC members a place to grow with their peers.
Camp buildHER
buildHER provides a unique, hands-on approach to construction careers for girls in grades 7-10 at no cost to the participants. Campers learn the basic elements of various construction trades with mentors and role models are on hand to support them every step of the way. Campers are encouraged to make their mark in the male-dominated construction industry!
